Healthcare Workers Bike Support Program

In partnership with Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board, FTCycleCare provided 25 rugged mountain bikes to community health workers in hard-to-reach areas of Badagry. These health workers previously struggled to reach patients in remote communities due to poor road conditions and lack of transportation. The bikes enable them to conduct home visits, deliver medications, and respond to emergencies more efficiently.

Impact: 25 community health workers now serve 15 remote villages reaching approximately 8,000 residents. Emergency response time reduced from 3 hours to 45 minutes. Monthly patient visits increased by 300%.

Local schools partnered with us to identify students who walk over 5km daily to attend classes.

Impact: 50 children now have reliable transportation to school, reducing average commute time from 90 minutes to 25 minutes. School attendance has increased by 40% among beneficiaries, and punctuality has significantly improved.

When severe flooding affected parts of Lagos, FTCycleCare mobilized to help affected cyclists.
